Do I need to install a Scan Engine for SecuScan?
No. SecuScan is 100% SaaS; external scans launch from our Québec infrastructure. For internal or authenticated scans, we provide an optional lightweight agent (Linux/Windows) that takes a few minutes to deploy — not a dedicated appliance like Rapid7.
Rapid7 has an MDR, is that comparable?
Rapid7 MDR is a separate service from InsightVM. For the vulnerability management scope (which is what SecuScan maps to), we deliver equivalent or better features for SMBs (EASM, authenticated scans, AI).
Is risk scoring as advanced as Rapid7?
SecuScan combines CVSS, EPSS (exploit probability) and a contextual AI score (based on real external exposure). The result is generally more actionable for an SMB than Rapid7's Real Risk Score, which needs enterprise tuning.
Can I export my data if I migrate to Rapid7 later?
Absolutely. SecuScan allows full export of your data (assets, findings, history) in CSV/JSON via our public API. We believe in full data portability.
