Frequently asked questions

If we are full Fortinet, isn't FortiSIEM the best choice?

FortiSIEM is well integrated with FortiGate / FortiAnalyzer / FortiEDR, a real advantage if you are full Fortinet. But ecosystems evolve: most MSPs are multi-vendor (Sophos, WatchGuard, Cisco, pfSense, OPNsense). A neutral SIEM like SecuSIEM adapts to what you have, with no pressure to upsell more Fortinet.

Fortinet has a Canada presence, is that enough?

Fortinet has offices in Burnaby (BC) and Ottawa, but it is a US-listed NASDAQ company under CLOUD Act jurisdiction. Decision gravity remains in the US. SecuSIEM is Québec, operated by a Québec company, with no legal ambiguity.

FortiSIEM has a built-in CMDB, does SecuSIEM?

SecuSIEM natively integrates an asset inventory (from SecuScan EASM + network sources). Full CMDB (relationships, services) is on the v2 roadmap. For most SIEM use cases (event-asset correlation), the v1 asset inventory is enough.

Migration from FortiSIEM to SecuSIEM?

Mapping of correlation rules, custom parsers (PARSERS XML) and dashboards. Typical migration 3-6 weeks depending on scope. FortiGate flows are natively supported via syslog.
